Costa Rica returned 56 Cubans who wanted to enter the country

56 Cubans who tried to enter Costa Rica from Panama were returned by immigration authorities into Panamanian territory. The islanders were trying to cross Costa Rican to continue their journey to the United States, apparently in an irregular situation.

Panama government sent the migrants to the Cáritas Foundation quarter located in the capital while they decide what to do and it added that among them there were 8 children and a heavily pregnant woman.

Authorities asked for donations of canned food, milk, clothing, toiletries, and others.

Costa Rica announced last month that the immigration controls will be strengthened due to the humanitarian crisis at its borders.

Africans from many countries, Asians and Haitians are trying to pass through Costa Rica to continue their journey to the United States.
