Costa Rica seeks extradition of Nicaraguan suspects

Costa Rican authorities have requested the extradition of two Nicaraguan brothers allegedly responsible for killing a 12 year-old boy.

The brothers Carmona Solis allegedly tied up the boy by the neck to a motorcycle and dragged him for about 1,970 feet. According to an autopsy the boy died of strangulation.

When the attack happened, the boy was with his 15-year-old cousin riding on a motorbike by a mountainous area of San Carlos of Alajuela.

The 15-year old cousin managed to escape and alert authorities.

Nicaragua might not approve extradition because its laws protects Nicaraguan citizens from extradition.
