A total of 30 Costa Rican and 34 foreign companies attended the Central American Aerospace Meeting of 2014, at the Real Intercontinental Hotel in Escazu. National companies offer everything from metalworking, electronics and plastic injection to specialized services such as engineering and design, and software maintenance. At present only one U.S. aviation company works with suppliers in Costa Rica. However, executives with the chamber of Foreign Trade (Procomer) want to put Costa Rica on the map for the global supply chain in aviation and aerospace. U.S. Companies that participated in the meeting include American PPG Aerospace and Parker Aerospace Company.
