Costa Rican company obtains global technology award

May 27, 2016 by Staff News Writer

ControlSoft, a Costa Rican engineering company, got a global award in telemetry technology in a global contest sponsored by the French company Schneider Electric.

Their proposal will have a positive impact on the entire region, since it provides a low-cost solution to improve the efficient use of water in Central American countries, given the current conditions caused by climate change.

ControlSoft is a company founded in 2002 by three electrical engineers from the University of Costa Rica, aiming at providing technological solutions in industrial processes, especially in water treatment, fuel and renewable energy, developing and implementing telemetry applications and automated control for public services companies and the manufacturing sector (cement, medical industry, oil, food and drinks).

The company currently has offices in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama, and it’s an active member of the Costa Rican consortium of Internet of Things, C-IoT.
