Firefighters dealt with gas leak in Guadalupe

On Tuesday, a unit of the Fire Department had to deal with a gas leak in a house located in front of the municipal swimming pools in Guadalupe.

The incident occurred at 10:09 a.m. and did not cause major damage for the people who lived in the house.

The Supervisor of the Fire Department, Leonel Jiménez, took the opportunity to provide some recommendations for families that use gas cylinders for their daily activities, including:

• Locate the cylinder in an open and ventilated place so that if leaks or accumulation of gas occur, they don’t affect the structure of the house or the health of the people who inhabit it.
• Buy cylinders in good condition.
• Constantly check hoses and cylinder connectors. They should not show rust.
• When the kitchen is not in use, close the key completely.
