Foreign Direct Investment generate over 7 thousand jobs in 2013

In 2013, a total of $583 million in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for high technology and light manufacturing, generated 7,123 new jobs. According to the Minister of Foreign Trade, a total 43 investment projects were responsible for the jobs and that growth in FDI exceeded expectations and the rate for the previous year. The announcement comes just after the news that Kimberly-Clark will build a $31 million infrastructure and machinery plant in Cartago.
