HNN receives 6 children with strong flu every 24 hours

Respiratory infections continue preying on the little ones. On average, every day six minors have to be hospitalized in the National Children’s Hospital (HNN) for health complications caused by infectious processes.

This information was released by Olga Arguedas, HNN’s director, who said the medical center remains alert for the increase in flu cases in the last two months.

Medical authorities are increasingly concerned, since flu cases of the last two weeks have shown stronger symptoms than those from previous weeks.

The doctor called for parents to increase hygiene measures and to keep minors away from smoke from cigarettes and vehicles.
