Independent legislator Carlos Hernández will not return his seat to Frente Amplio, despite the request made in that sense by the National Executive Committee of the political party.
They’ve been trying to get me to resign. They’ve been pushing me and I have to say that I will not do it,
said Hernández.
The legislator, who won the seat on behalf of Frente Amplio in Puntarenas, said that many people voted for him and not for the party.
The executive committee of the group demanded Hernández to return his seat a day after the congressman resigned the party.
