Margay with head injury rescued

A margay cub was found after midnight by Fuerza Pública officers.
The feline was lying in the road of Buena Vista de Upala, Alajuela with a blow to the head.

It was sent to the rescue center Las Pumas in Cañas. The shelter reported the feline is now well in quarantine area.

The Ministry for Public Security informed that

“Several passing Fuerza Pública officers saw the margay in the middle of the street. It seemed it had been ran over by a vehicle, so they aided the cat and sent it to the Refugio de Vida Silvestre Los Pumas in Cañas, Guanacaste, where the biologist Esther Pomares received it”.
