Mexico Hospital urgently needs blood donors

The Blood Bank of the Mexican Hospital is making an emergency call because it requires donors of blood of any type.

The Blood Bank of this hospital has a significant lack of the vital liquid and according to Dr. Jacqueline Duque, head of the service, they are on the verge of suspending surgeries in the coming days if the situation doesn’t change.

The Blood Bank will be receiving donors with any type of blood. However, a special call is made to those who have blood type O +, since this blood type can be used by anyone.

Those who wish to donate must go to the Blood Bank of the Hospital Mexico from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

To qualify as a donor, you only have to have good general health, being 18 to 65 years old, weigh more than 50 kg and not having ingested alcohol within 48 hours prior to donation.

With only one donation you can save up to four lives.
