Mites: silent threats on your bed

A female mite can lay up to 30 eggs every three weeks. Due to its reproductive cycle, it is common to be allergic.

In addition, it is important to know that one gram of dust can have up to 10,000 mites. That is the reason way specialists insist on keeping places clean.

Some doctors explain that when flipping the mattress, people kill thousands of those mites that often produce rhinitis, asthma, watery eyes and eye irritation.

Allergist Mario Alberto Martínez, from Clínica Bíblica, you also need to use the sunlight.

By doing this once a week and by changing the sheets and turning the mattress, it is enough to avoid having problems with mites,

declared the specialist.

According to the doctor, mites feed on people’s dead skin and people are exposed to allergies for several hours.
