Neighbors denounced narco-family that operated in the Southern Zone

The Drug Control Police (PCD) dismantled a narco-family that operated near a school in Aguas Claras de Coto Brus in the Southern Zone.

The operation took place after the neighbors of the sector had denounced the suspects through the confidential and gratuitous line 1176.

The organization was led by two brothers. The neighbors told the authorities that with the sale of drugs came a wave of robberies and assaults that made the area extremely dangerous.

The anti-drug agents raided the house where the brothers of named Marin lived and distributed the drugs. The house was located 100 meters from the school.

One of the suspects is 30 years old and has a record for illegal possession of a weapon, while his brother, 22, had no record.

During the raids the agents found 1,048 doses of marijuana, 351 thousand colones and 192 dollars in cash, and implements for the preparation of the drug.
