New Turrialba Volcano’s eruption was recorded on October 31st

On October 31st, at 08:22 p.m., an eruption was recorded in the Turrialba volcano, with a column of smoke that rose to 500 meters above the crater and with a height of 3,840 meters above sea level.

The information was provided by Jorge Brenes from OVSICORI. So far, it has not been reported ash fall or sulfur smell.

The institute added that in the last 24 hours the ash emissions were of low intensity.

The cloudy conditions at the top of the volcano difficult the visibility of the plume.
