Poas Volcano recorded moderate phreatic eruption

This morning at about 7:08 am, remote cameras captured a moderate phreatic eruption in the lake of the Poas Volcano. According to volcanologist Maria Martinez, the eruption was moderate and a gas boom reached 100 meters high. The material ejected from the center of lake consists of hot hydro thermal fluids, gas, steam and rock fragments.
