Poás residents use road holes to plant sugar cane and bananas

Michael Arce

The holes in the route between Poás and Grecia are so deep that now they serve as pots for plants. The route was used by the residents of the area to plant sugar cane and bananas.

It can be a way to warn drivers of the great danger of the holes in the National Route 107. But it is also a demonstration of citizen frustration with the unjustifiable neglect of such an important route,”

said legislator Michael Arce.

Next Friday, the neighbors of the area will have a meeting with the Board of CONAVI. Although only 10 people can participate, they organized to travel on buses and protest outside the entity’s offices.

The residents of Poás and Grecia expect the institution to offer them a definitive solution for the route.
