Police stops illegal logging in Guatuso forest and wetland

A complaint received in the police delegation of the Public Force allowed the officers to stop illegal logging activities in El Bosque de San Rafael neighborhood in Guatuso on Tuesday.

According to the police report, the alert was received at 10:20 a.m., so the agents immediately went to the place.

Upon arriving at the site, which is part of Guatuso forest and wetland, officers observed a backhoe knocking trees down, specifically the species Manu Banana and Oak.

The subject who manipulated the mechanism is named Solís and he confessed not to have permits for legal logging.
