President asks for consultation on new tax

President Luis Solis, responded to the opposition alliance of the Legislative Assembly and assured them that the government will speed up the discussion on cutting public spending, as long as the legislators vote quickly on tax bills for a value added tax, income tax, housing and corporations.

Days ago, Antonio Alvarez Desanti, president of the legislature, and the opposition, decided to accept a new rule that prevented the irrational growth of public spending. President Solis was pleased with this and said he’ll do his part as long as legislators do theirs.
