Presidential Canidate Johnny Araya Quits Election

PLN Canidate for president Johnny Araya has announced that he will end his campaign for President in the upcoming run off election. Araya made the announcement at a press conference at the Hotel Corobicí on Wednesday afternoon. The election will still go forward on the 6th of Abril. However, Araya citing problems with campaign finances said he will end his campaign and put his candidacy in the hands of God.

PAC candidate Luis Guillermo Solís who won the highest number of votes in the first election made an announcement urging voters to still go to the polls in the run off election. A recent poll published in Semanario Universidad showed that Solís was favored by 64.4 percent of voters and only 20.9 percent supported Araya.
