Johnny Araya to face an unexpected opponent: Luis Guillermo Solís

PLN candidate Johnny Araya Monge, who failed to gain a majority in the Sunday election said that he was surprised by the results of the Citizen Action Party (PAC) and its candidate, Luis Guillermo Solis. Araya ran his campaign as if the struggle was between him and José María Villalta of the Broad Front. Instead, Araya of the ruling PLN party will face a run off election and have to adapt his campaign to face the PAC and Solis.
