San Juan de Dios Hospital is working as usual

Last week, the emergency services at San Juan de Dios Hospital collapsed. However, calm seems to have returned to the medical center.

As reported by Andrea de la Cruz, a journalist at the medical center, the emergency service was working as usual on November 16th. There were 60 patients, which is normal at the institution, and they were able to assist new people.

Authorities have planned to remodel the center facilities and to offer new services, but these changes will take place next year. In addition, the Ombudsman urged authorities from the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) to take action before the current crisis.
