Services return to normal after tropical wave hit South Zone

The Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) reported that the damages in the electrical and telecommunications networks in some communities in the Southern Zone of the country, caused by the 35th tropical wave, were repaired and now services are back to normal.

According to reports, the affected telecommunications equipment in the areas of Rancho Quemado, Río Claro de Pavones, Puerto Escondido de Osa, Cerro Adams de Golfito and Drake Bay, are operating from August 20th.

The repairs and the restoration of the services occurred gradually during a period of 12 hours, due to the limited access to the areas.
