People who are not from Asociación Vida Animal Costa Rica are trying to profit from Duke’s name and case, by selling stickers for cars.

Some of the images feature Duke, the dog who was injured with a machete less than a week ago and the slogan “Where there is life, there is hope”, from the campaign organized by Vida Animal Costa Rica to help the animal.

Other stickers call for an end to animal abuse and they are offered through Facebook, at up to ¢ 1,800 and ensure the profits contribute to the rescue of many helpless creatures.

The institution says they are not behind the sale of stickers or products and they cannot ensure that money is directed to rescue causes or Duke’s expenses.

We have read comments saying we are doing business or profiting from Duke and it’s not us. Please, help us share this information!”

stressed the institution on Facebook.
