The Press Office of the Public Ministry informed that the prosecutor will investigate a man surnamed Mora, suspected of running over four cyclists on Sunday morning in Curridabat: three of them died after the impact. In addition, precautionary measures will be defined in the next hours.
Mora turned himself in to the authorities after a person reported that in his house, there was a vehicle hit with the characteristics they were looking for.
The deceased were identified as Lenín Manrique Órtiz Quesada, Pablo Enrique Alcócer Alcócer and Mario Enrique Retana Pérez. Lucía Mata Durán remains in Calderón Guardia Hospital.
The suspect is in detention and the UODF is waiting for the police report, currently made by the Judicial Investigation Agency. After analyzing the report, the detainee will be investigated and his statement will be taken and then, the Unit will assess the request for precautionary measures.
