The traffic police will start the special operations for the end-of-the-year period.
There will be 8 mass activities in which regulation and security will be guaranteed. These are: the Cycling Tour, which will include 20 officers, the Light Festival on December 17th, the Tope’s celebration on December 26th and the National Carnival on December 27th.
754 traffic officers throughout the country will also regulate the traffic speed and consumption of liquor on the main routes of Costa Rica. In addition, 165 patrols, 29 motorcycles, 58 cranes, as well as 24 speed-control radars, 7 sound-level meters and 83 breathalyzers will be included.
