There will be free workshops that will help caregivers to make their job a little more bearable.
The workshops will start on September 23rd at the Gerontology Center of Curridabat. They will take place from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Aaron Hernández, medical coordinator of Ebais Unibe, informed that for this particular workshop they have 24 spots available and if people want to join, they can call 4000-6600 and provide their personal information.
They will address issues such as: the caregiver syndrome, indicators and warning signs of dementia syndrome, general care for the older person, active aging, rights of the elderly person, oral health, physical exercises, among other topics.
They aim to implement a theoretical-participatory methodology so that they can put into practice some of the knowledge acquired during the process.
At the end of the course people will receive a certificate of participation.
