28 more people affected by Zika within a week

Since last week, there have been 28 more Zika cases for a total of 98 people infected in Costa Rica.

According to an official report updated on June, 8th, there were 63 cases located in Garabito district, in Puntarenas province.

The health ministry has sent 50 sanitary workers to contain the disease in this area. Costa Rica is spending 3 million colones a day to fight Zika.

Among the positive cases, 11 were people infected in other countries, such as Honduras, Colombia, Nicaragua, and Dominican Republic.
