About 60 taxi drivers cornered an Uber driver at Esparza, Puntarenas in order to attack him.
Last Saturday afternoon, taxi drivers chased him to block the route he was driving, as confirmed by Carlos Hidalgo, a representative from the Public Security Department.
Uber driver crashed due to the persecution against him.
A few minutes later officers from the Secutiry Forces arrived and after facing taxi drivers’ resistance, they managed to help the trapped driver. He was uninjured, but his vehicle was destroyed.
However, the taxi drivers escaped, so it was not possible to make any arrest.
Public Security Department confirmed that their license plates were already identified.
