After a meeting with taxi drivers, the Regulatory Authority of Public Services (ARESEP) promised to deliver within a week a technical report regarding Uber’s presence and operation around the country.

This file will include details about the role of each government institution on this controversial issue, the context in which Uber entered Costa Rica and technical and legal information about the application. In addition, it will study ARESEP possibility to block the application that allows to transport people from one place to another in private vehicles.

Roberto Jimenez, general regulator, ordered to start the report right away in order to deliver it to taxi drivers on August 16th.
