CRC urged taxi drivers not to hamper ambulances

The Costa Rican Red Cross (CRC) urged taxi drivers not to hamper ambulances during their demonstrations around the country.

They stated on social networks that every second and every minute counts when it comes to an emergency, so they asked not to affect the service they provide.

This morning I witnessed some ambulances that had their lighting and sound devices on and taxi drivers allow them to cross. We want this behavior to continue,

told Jim Batres, CRC chief operating officer.

So far, their services haven’t been affected, but ambulances have been dealing with traffic jams.
