Do you want a millennial in your company? You need to read this

Human resources company Manpower announced some aspects entrepreneurs must take into account when hiring millennials (people born from 1980 to 1995). Those aspects are closely related to social and environmental responsibility, very important objectives for this population.

Gabriela Zúñiga, company manager, said that this staff works more working hours and they are fully trained. So if you want to keep them in business, this is what you should do:

-Offer work motivation: give them examples of people who have progressed through training in daily work.

-Appreciate their work: create opportunities to work in different projects and with different equipment in order to gain experience. Highlight the value of progress and not only promotions.

-Focus on the variety and career possibility: keep regular talks about their career and development. Focus on short-term objectives and propose plans to achieve them.

-Keep regular talks: Anticipates breaks for personal reasons and consider that these go beyond traditional events such as births, birthdays, honeymoons and even family care. They prefer working overtime just to be able to have more time to share with family and friends.

-Remain open to alternative models of work: This group of people tend to prefer full-time jobs, but many of them accept part–time jobs, prefer to be independent or to have multiple jobs.
