Heavy rains caused 50 incidents

The National Emergency Commission (CNE) registered 50 emergencies during this Wednesday and early Thursday in different parts of the country.

There were 30 cases of floods, 12 landslides and 8 requests for inspections. These incidents resulted in 47 people affected, 10 homes with partial damages, and three closed roads.

According to Lidier Esquivel, head of Research and Risk Analysis of the CNE, the rains mainly affected the southern cantons of the Central Valley, as well as the south of the country.

The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) foresees that the conditions of the rainy season will continue in most of the country, therefore, there will be showers and isolated thunderstorms in various parts of the Metropolitan Area, the regions of the Pacific and the North Zone, especially in the mountains.
