Jacó adds 8 new Zika cases, 32 confirmed

Zika cases in the country rose to 32. The Health Ministry confirmed that Jacó now has 19 cases.

This is the third outbreak reported by the Ministry, after Guanacaste and Alajuelita, which confirmed 9 and 4 cases, respectively.

According to the Ministry, most cases have been reported in women of an average age of 27. However, the youngest victim is a 3-year-old boy from Alajuelita.

The authorities insist in destroying mosquito breeding areas in order to face the situation.
