The lookout on Poás Volcano was covered in ash and visible damages from the eruptions. That was the scene that volcanologists of the National Seismological Network (RSN) found during their last visit to the place.

The activity remains constant in the last hours, with small phreatic explosions and emission of gases.

Volcanologists took ash samples to deepen their studies of the volcanic activity in recent weeks.

The most recurrent is the output of gases and water vapor, whose high columns were seen from different parts of the country.

Officials at the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI) also visited the site yesterday to verify the damages to the monitoring instruments.
