Taxi drivers against deputy minister for using Uber

Two members of the Union of Costa Rican Taxi Drivers (UTC), infiltrated the company UBER and claimed to have evidence that the newly appointed Deputy Minister of Transport, Liza Castillo, uses UBER’s services.

With this lady we went from bad to worst. It got us thinking we don’t really know in whose hands we are leaving the deputy ministry of transport,”

said Rubén Vargas, president of the Union of Taxi Drivers.

To determine whether Castillo was a regular UBER user, taxi drivers will ask for her to be included as a witnesses in the administrative proceedings they are leading against the State.

Judges can allow us to listen to her private phone calls to determine whether she has been a user of this pirate service,”

said Vargas.

Castillo is yet another enemy of the red force, who argue they cannot allow an illegal transport user to be in such a high rank in the MOPT.
