There was a whirlwind in Guanacaste

On February 23rd, At 2:10 pm, a new whirlwind took place in Guanacaste, specifically in Canas Taboga wit, in La Ines.The atmospheric phenomenon was captured by Gabriel Porras.

It lasted about 5 minutes and it caused no harm. However, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, there were several small whirlwinds,

informed Porras.

Werner Stolz, head of forecast time at the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), explained that this type of atmospheric phenomenon is produced by high temperatures, which cause the air to rise and begin to rotate.
Temperatures in the region have been quite high.

A similar situation took place in Liberia: the IMN reported that the temperature has reached 32.3°. It is worth mentioning that two days ago there was a similar whirlwind near Odober Daniel Airport.
