Turrialba volcano registers new eruption

Turrialba volcano recorded a new eruption at 9:55 a.m. on Thursday.
According to the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI), the height reached by the gas plume is unknown, due to the weather conditions and the low visibility they have from the camera located in the area.

Although the winds blow towards the Northwest, there is still no report of ash fall or smell of sulfur in any area.

Poás Volcano, on the other hand, maintains a plume of gases and steam, but no ash has been recorded in the last hours.
