Turrialba’s eruption reached 800 meters

Turrialba Volcano erupted at 8:05 on Monday evening.
The Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica reported that the eruption caused an ash column that rose 800 meters above the height of the crater and 4,140 meters above sea level.

The entity indicated that the duration of the activity is in progress and the winds blow towards the Southwest. However, there is no report of ash fall or smell of sulfur.

It is worth mentioning that the emission of ash that began early on Monday morning continues.
