Taxi drivers got disappointed due to the barriers they found around the Supreme Court

On October 21st, taxi drivers found barriers, rails and others safety devices in front of the Supreme Court after their demonstration in downtown San José.

Members of the union were disappointed since they had to wait outside the building. The “red force” requested the Constitutional Court to solve their three complaints which were filed more than a year ago.

Justice is blind, that’s why trials should be fair and fast. To find the Court closed makes us feel that we are imprisoned and that they’ve put a barrier between the people and the institutions,

declared Gilberth Ureña, taxi drivers leaders.

They noted that to compete against a transnational company is very difficult and therefore they will continue raising their voices until the law to ban private transportation is enforced.
