Turrialba volcano erupted again on May, 19th. This time, the magnitude of its power was more impressive than ever.
Blas Enrique Sanchez, an official of the National Emergency Commission (CNE), published several images of the volcano on his Facebook profile, just when the eruption started.
The titan erupted several times on Thursday at 9:38 am, 3:47 pm and 5:09 pm, but the most significant eruption (4:00 pm) expelled material in a column that rose about 1.2 kilometers.
The ash is very dense, and there is material falling 8 kilometers from the crater. The dispersion continues to the west,”
