4 new eruptions from Turrialba

May 17, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Turrialba volcano erupted once again in the morning of May, 16th and three more times around noon.

Orlando Luna, forest ranger, explained that the ash column is not visible because the sky is cloudy in that area; and that this time the direction of the wind is carrying ashes towards Valle Central and communities such as La Silvia and La Picada.
