Hydroelectric plant Reventazón will soon have a third turbine running

“Reventazón” Hydroelectric Project is about to complete testing on the third power generation unit before putting it into service.

The first two generation turbines of the plant have already been connected to the grid in the past two months.

Reventazón is the largest hydroelectric plant in Central America. With a capacity to generate 305.5 MW, enough to meet energy consumption of 525,000 households.

The infraestructure is 99% complete. The remaining labors are related to more testing on the third generation unit and applying final touchs to most of the works of the project.
