Lucky: another dog attacked with a machete

July 28, 2016 by Staff News Writer

On Wednesday, a dog named Lucky was savagely attacked in Salitrillos Aserrí. A man hit it with a machete on the back.

Francia Ramírez, Lucky’s owner, explained that her dog escaped from the house and started fighting with another animal. Then, an angry neighbor took the knife out from his belt and attacked her dog.

She assured that the man is surnamed Segura and he is not even the owner of the dog Lucky was fighting with.

I complained about what he did and he only said that my dog was attacking another dog that is not even his.

After the attack, she took a blanket to wrap Lucky and carried it to her house, where she tried to stop the bleeding. Then, she asked for help and some vets from Tarbaca took her dog to a veterinarian office.

However, she is scared of the consequences this case might bring and though police told her she can sue the attacker, she doesn’t want to do it because it is a neighbor.
