10 days for literature lovers!

August 24, 2016 by Staff News Writer

If you love literature and reading is your thing, this is for you.

The 2016 International Book Fair will be held from September 2nd to 11th at the Old Customs and 9 other locations.

Thus, people will have 10 days to enjoy the exhibition of the country’s most important books, which this year celebrates its seventeenth edition.

We seek to create greater convenience and clarity of the offer for people visiting the fair,”

said Sylvie Durán, Minister of Culture and Youth.

Between the Old Customs House and the House of Cuño there will be 80 invited expositors. About 60 thousand people are expected to enjoy the activity, for which the Ministry of Culture (MCJ) and the Costa Rican Book Chamber (CCL) made an investment of over 130 million colones.

The fair allows the citizens to have access to as many books of national and international literature as possible,”

said Luis Bernal Montes de Oca, president of the CCL.
