1,018 cases of Zika have been confirmed

September 15, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The Ministry of Health confirmed the increase of Zika cases: there are 1,018 patients.

According to the data, there were 54 positive Zika cases per week until the end of August.

Authorities are worried about Puntarenas, because Zika has greatly attacked that area, followed by Matina.

In addition, over 100 cases of patients with chikungunya and about 800 dengue cases have been reported in the country.
