13 public institutions will use hybrid and electric vehicles donated by Japan

On Tuesday, the government of Japan delivered 60 hybrid and electric vehicles that will go to 13 public institutions of the Costa Rican government.

This was announced by the Presidential House in a formal activity with the presence of the beneficiary government authorities and the Japanese representation.

The 60 vehicles (31 hybrid and 29 electric) will be distributed as follows:

17 for the Ministry of Environment and Energy

13 for the Presidency

8 for the Ministry of Health

4 for the Ministry of Labor

2 for the Foreign Ministry

2 for the INAMU

2 for the Ministry of Housing

2 for the Ministry of Agriculture

2 for the Ministry of Economy

2 for the Ministry of Justice

2 for the Ministry of Culture

1 for the University of Costa Rica

The Joint Institute of Social Assistance will receive 17 vehicles as a loan from the MINAE and the Presidency. Also the Costa Rican Sports Institute will have two cars, which will be provided by the Ministry of Health.

The donation of these Toyota and Mitsubishi vehicles has a value of $ 2.8 million.
