14 people fall for gold extraction in Crucitas

A total of 14 people were arrested on Monday in Crucitas de Cutris in San Carlos, for alleged illegal mining.

According to the Press Office of the Ministry of Public Security, there are 13 men and one woman who were arrested by officers of the Operational Support Group (GAO).

The authorities also seized various items used for gold mining in the area.

The subjects will be presented before the Public Prosecutor’s Office for what corresponds.

On Thursday, the Border Police and the Public Force arrested 10 people in this same area for alleged illegal mining.
