17 families from Pozuelo-Jardines sector will receive housing

March 10, 2017 by Staff News Writer

17 families (60 people including minors) will receive decent housing, as they are part of a voluntary resettlement plan promoted by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT).

These people were relocated first in rental housing, as they were within the construction area of the Pozuelo-Jardines del Recuerdo project.

In the official inauguration of the four lanes of Yolanda Oreamuno Bridge, which was held this Thursday, the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Carlos Villalta, mentioned that the road project also has a social component.

According to the MOPT, the relocation process is expected to be completed by October.

The Minister said that there are still details to be concluded, such as the construction of two more bus terminals and a pedestrian bridge, so the works do not end here.

He also asked for patience because in the next few days they will begin the vertical and horizontal demarcation, as well as the installation of traffic lights.
