237 students participated in the National Young Writers Contest

September 9, 2016 by Staff News Writer

More than 237 students participated in The National Young Writers Contest. They were inspired by the “No more bullying” topic to write their stories and to express their feelings and emotions.

As part of the activity, they received training on writing and literature. In addition, they visited the International Book Fair.

Sonia Marta Mora, minister of Education, declared that these activities promote reading and creative writing in the classroom.

The contest was organized by the Department of School Libraries and the Resource Centers for Learning from the Ministry of Public Education.

Since it was an inclusive event, prizes were raffled among hundreds of students in order to recognize their efforts.
