25 workers from the nutrition service at Max Terán Hospital were on strike

December 12, 2016 by Staff News Writer

About 25 workers from the nutrition service at Max Terán Hospital were on strike on December 12th.

They demand improvements in the service equipment, since they assure that they are in bad conditions.

Carlos Báez, a representative from the National Union of Workers of the CCSS (UNDECA) explained that food is being guaranteed for hospitalized patients but that about 150 employees of the medical center will run out of food soon.

He added that they have requested the CCSS, for at least 3 years, to improve the equipment but, to date, it has not taken place.
