4.7-degree earthquake in Parrita

A 4.7-degree earthquake shook west of Parrita, in Puntarenas, on Tuesday morning.

According to preliminary information from the National Seismological Network (RSN), the quake was recorded at 7:34 a.m. at a depth of 26 kilometers.

Neighbors from Bejuco Beach and Jacó reported the quake as “strong” but “fast.”
